Hot ladies shorts in bright colors are also in the wear list in 2010 with bright and colorful jewelry and accessories and big glasses play an important role to make you more glamorous. But wearing too short shorts could be a fashion disaster. A sultry and sexy high dress is in for those who are against to wear shorts. This specially looks good on those who have well toned skinny legs.
Full length skirts are also in the trend of 2010 and have been substituted with bandage skirts. A well-fitted top gives the perfect and sexy look for a slim figure. Mini skirts in neutral tones are also in this year. The casual fitted t-shirts paired with denim blue jeans would give a cool look on women. Denim jeans are an evergreen style which will never fade out of fashion. Blazers and formal trousers are still in, giving importance to masculine gender dresses. This has now been extended to long length blazers with leggings or shorts, with beads and bangles for that feminine look. To be bold and beautiful is another revealing style of fashion 2010. Women of today are willing to go with sleeveless for hotter and sexier look.

Try out styles that look good on you and which you are comfortable with. Fashion trends 2010 have shown different dress and dress material coming up with the right style. It is important to be fashion conscious but not necessary to follow them always. If you feel that a certain style is out of fashion, do not panic, fashion trends keep on changing. 2010 is a year of taking hold of the importance of being a woman and embracing the womanhood's essence. Last but not least, the basic point of fashion is to be comfortable in what you are wearing.

Is there any statistics about rape related to women fashion?
The use of shorts and plunging neckline in some countries are considered unmoral clothing and that rouse men to sex. So, I’m searching if is there any statistic about the relation between rape and women fashion. Thanks a lot
I don’t try to excuse rapist (I’m sorry with the people that thinks that I’m excusing rapists). What I want to ask is that if is there a relationship with what woman shows of her body (the way she dresses herself) with the stimulation for a person to see, imagine or even act against moral principles of life against women who use that kind of clothing.

What women shows of her body may stimulates man to see, imagine or even act?

    Thanks a lot.

How has representation of women in fashion magazines changed over the past five years?
I’m doing media coursework on representation of women in fashion magazines and how its changed. It would really help and be much appreciated if I got your views or anything helpful that you may have from the internet or books!

Artists/photographers working on the representation of women/fashion or feminism?
Does anybody know any artists, in particular photographers, that work in the area of feminism or on the representation of women? Or the way women are represented in the media/in fashion and the effect it has on women eg eating disorders. Names are fine so then I can research them further :)

Kind of thing I’m looking for is Cindy Sherman/Barbara Kruger kind of thing. Need some inspiration for my own work :) So anything relevant will be helpful.

Who did Hitler appoint to fashion women of the Third Reich?
What I mean is, I once read that Hitler put a woman in charge of giving the woman of Germany guidelines on beauty and fashion( such as no trousers, makeup, perms, etc.) WHAT WAS HER NAME? I need it for a novel that I am currently writing. Thanks in advance!

The Bund Deutscher Mädel had its origins already in the 1920s, in the first “Mädchenschaften” or “Mädchengruppen”, also known as “Schwesternschaften der Hitler-Jugend”, Sisterhood of the Hitler Youth. In 1930 it was founded as the female branch of the Hitler Youth movement. Its full title was “Bund Deutscher Mädel in der Hitler-Jugend” (League of German Girls in the Hitler Youth). In the final electioneering campaigns of 1932, Hitler inaugurated it with a mass meeting featuring the League; on election eve, the League and Hitler Youth staged “evening of entertainment.” It did not attract a mass following until the Nazis came to power in January 1933, but grew rapidly thereafter, until membership was made compulsory for eligible girls between 10 and 18 in 1939. Members had to be ethnic Germans, German citizens, and free of hereditary diseases. Girls had to be 10 years of age to enter this League.
As in the HJ, separate sections of the BDM existed, according to the age of participants. Girls between the ages of 10 and 14 years old were members of the Young Girl’s League (Jungmädelbund, JM), and girls between the ages of 14 and 18 were members of the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) proper. In 1938, a third section was added, known as Belief and Beauty (Glaube und Schönheit), which was voluntary and open to girls between 17 and 21 and was intended to groom them for marriage, domestic life, and future career goals. Ideally, girls were to be married and have children once they were of age, but importance was also placed on job training and education.

I did a project on something similar about ahem 20 odd years ago looking at how women were represented in French and English magazines. I got a French and English version of Elle and Cosmopolitan and looked at how women were portrayed in advertisements and found that the women in French magazines seemed to be shown to be more suppliant, smiling inanely for no reason, heads tilted etc. Would be interesting to see if this has differed since.

Nan Golding, Diane Arbus, Annie Leibovitz as photographers. Maggie Hambling, Paula Rego, Tamara de Lempicka, painters, all worth looking at.

Also, have a look for published works by Marsha Meskimmon from Loughborough Uni. She specialises in women, feminism, and the arts (was a lecturer of my daughter’s).
